Old Nonpareil

Ancient English or French apple, first described in England in the early 16th century.

Small, greenish-yellow fruit, turning to orange, usually with some russet. Small, not especially attractive. Outstanding flavor for eating out of hand. Makes an excellent single-variety cider.

Late October ripening. Small tree.
