Reine Claude Boddaert, or Boddart's Green Gage is a European plum, likely a Reine Claude seedling, but its origins are largely unknown. This plum was first mentioned in 1876 by Downing, and shortly after was placed in the American Pomological Society catalog.
The tree is large, productive, medium in vigor. The fruit is large, attractive and of good quality, about 1.5 in diameter, yellow. Flesh is light yellow, dry, meaty, tender and sweet (The plums of New York, Hendrick et al).
