Brown's Apple is an English cider apple which was first discovered in Devon in the 1900's.
Medium dark red apple, with white flesh. Makes "vintage quality", fragrant, bittersharp cider that is fragrant.
Mid-October ripening. Midseason bloom. Very productive but not precocious. Fruit 2" diameter. Susceptible to fire blight. Scab-tolerant. Very winter hardy, to -30F and colder, zone 4.
