Fiesta is a cross of Idared x Cox Orange Pippin, developed by Dr. Frank Alston in 1972, at the East Malling Research Station in the UK.

Fiesta is able to deliver the complexity of Cox, but in a more managable package of Idared. Recently, there has been a drive to rename it Red Pippin. Sweet, medium-sized apple; red and orange flecked over yellow background. Great eating apple, can also be used in cider.

Fiesta is a low vigour tree, consistent cropper and moderately disease resistant. Partially self fertile. Cold hardy to zone 5.
