Karmijn de Sonneville

Karmijn de Sonneville is a cross between Jonathon x Cox's Orange Pippin; discovered in the Netherlands, 1971.

Intensely flavored, rich, aromatic, masses of sugar and acidity, crisp, juicy flesh. One of the strongest flavored apples, extremely citrusy and delicious.

The tree is susceptible to apple scab and grows best in cooler summer areas. Triploid. Harvest: September - October, Season: October-December.
