Muscadet de Dieppe is a French cider apple originally from Normandy, 1750.
Excellent single variety or blended cider apple. Orange-red, smallish fruit. Sweet and aromatic. Produces a bittersweet cider, high tannin and low acidity.
Ripens in September in upstate New York. Good resistance to fireblight and scab. Tree is not very productive but hardy to zone 4.
