Stembridge Cluster

Stembridge Cluster is a cider apple from the cider country of Somerset, England. The apple is small, green-yellow, with red striped over color.

Has proven quite precocious for Bruce Honsinger in the North Cascades, who values its tannins and acidity for both cider and pie. Autumn of Eve's Cidery says it is a "good bittersharp that can exhibit petrol qualities".

Ripens between Honeycrisp and Red Delicious, so presumably after Kingston Black. Qualities of the juice not necessarily same as those given in the English descriptions, whether due to climate or genetic variation. Tends to be a bienniel cropper, hardy to zone 4.
